Vote RURU for Bird of the Year
Bird of the Year is a fun annual competition that allows the public to vote for their favourite New Zealand bird. The competition is run by conservation group Forest and Bird and aims to raise awareness about Aotearoa’s native birds and the threats they face. This year the competition is celebrating its 20th year, and voting is open from Monday 15 September to Sunday 28 September. Anyone is allowed to vote — from kids to adults to overseas visitors — vote online at www.birdoftheyear.org.nz
