Rain or shine, a stroll through the park will refresh your spirits!  Make sure you allow a minimum of 2 hours unless you are just out for a quick jog….

This is an ideal place to meet up with friends and family.  The park appeals to all generations and sparks memorable conversations and shared experiences.

Whether you want to stop for a coffee, enjoy some ice cream, shop a little or book in for a rest and recipe, we can provide the unique Roosting Ruru experience.

The Roosting Ruru Cafe

Situated by the Artist shelter overlooking the duck pond the Roosting Ruru Café provides refreshments for our visitors.

Enjoy Volare treats, Ozone coffee and Zealong tea while you stop and recap on your visit to the park. Gather friends and family and enjoy a coffee and cake or a light lunch.

We have Gluten-free and Vegetarian options available.

Ruru’s Nest Kiosk

Ruru Nest Retreat

The cottage is a cosy retreat, perfect for art and nature lovers, tucked away in the heart of the sculpture park and arboretum. Far from traffic, and other houses, you are only likely to hear the rurus (our native owls) calling to each other during the night.

Dog Days

We welcome dogs and their owners the FOURTH Sunday of every month.

Please ensure dogs are kept on their lead and that you remove all dog waste from the park. Water bowls are provided throughout the walk and seats for the owners to stop and take a break.
