Creative Waikato - Shining a spotlight on the diverse range of artists and creatives in our region.

We were excited to be included in this series of articles - see the link to our story below.

In partnership with Waikato District Council, this series of articles features ten organisations that embrace creativity as an essential element of the support they offer to their local communities.

A common thread throughout this project has been one of organisations putting people, and their wellbeing, at the forefront of every decision made.

Across the Waikato District, there are many positive acts taking place on a daily basis. It has been a joy to meet with these groups and learn more about the important mahi they are doing in serving their community, often quietly but always with impact.

Demonstrating kindness is a choice and the examples of kindness that the Creative Waikato team experienced as we crisscrossed the district was truly uplifting and a genuine signal for optimism.

Through embedding creativity into their practice on a regular basis, these organisations and the people involved are wonderful role models who deserve to be celebrated.
