A Love of Nature and Journalling?
What is Botanical Journalling?
This refers to the practice of documenting observations and insights about plants and fungi, typically in a journal or sketchbook. Often, using a combination of drawing, writing and other creative expression.
This practice promotes mindful engagement with natures and enhances understanding of plant biology, fostering a deeper connection with nature. By consistently journaling, we learn more about the natural world through observation and enquiry.
Once we have really looked at a tree and its parts and drawn it and written about it, it becomes more than something we walk past. It becomes part of our memory and knowledge bank.
