Marcus Tatton

Marcus Tatton is a New Zealand artist who was born in Taumarunui, New Zealand 1963. He completed a Batchelor and Diploma of Fine Art and has resided in Tasmania for many years. He became a full-time sculptor in 1993.

Marcus’s work is known internationally with exhibitions throughout Australia and New Zealand. Marcus Tatton is a public space sculptor who brings inspiration from where he lives amongst the wild landscapes of Tasmania. Through his work, Marcus explores the relationship between the natural and non-natural environments, how we humans interact with nature and the effect we have on the landscape.
