We have a variety of free fun activities for families these school holidays. From raft making to creative play to finding the hidden Ruru in the park, children of all ages will be entertained.

The Ruru cafe has Duck Island ice cream for a special treat.

Get the kids creative with a school holiday workshop

We also have a Kid’s Bookbinding workshop available for 8 - 12 year old children on Saturday 12th July. This two hour workshop will inspire and encourage creativity.

A Lantern making and walk in the park

Lantern making and lantern walk. (ages 5yrs - 9yrs)

Join us on Saturday 5th July for winter lantern making in the arboretum. Child's ticket includes - lantern making, lantern walk, hot drink and a cookie.
