Proposals are invited from artists to exhibit in our Winter Collection at the Sculpture Park @ Waitakaruru Arboretum

Exhibition dates: 18th June- 18th November 2012

The Waitakaruru Arboretum is an extraordinary site with a rich history spanning 20 years of rehabilitation of a once derelict quarry. It offers a diverse and challenging environment for artists interested in exploring a range of sculptural, environmental,  and land based works. For the Winter Collection, artists are invited to propose works that consider the site and engage with the full force of the environment and landscape.

Works can take on various forms including sculpture, installation, and conceptual works.

Installation will be up to and including the 17th June 2012. Our extremely popular annual outdoor glass exhibition ReFraction held in the Rock Garden will run from 6th October through to 18th November overlapping the last six weeks of the Winter Collection which will result in extra public exposure of the sculptural works at this time.
