Proposals are invited from emerging artists for the upcoming exhibition Autumn: Call and Response at the Sculpture Park @ Waitakaruru Arboretum

Autumn: Call and Response will present works from emerging artists that wrestle with the inherent challenges of the site, including the scale and natural beauty of the landscape. 

The Waitakaruru Arboretum is an extraordinary site with a rich history spanning 20 years of rehabilitation of a once derelict quarry. It offers a diverse and challenging environment for artists interested in exploring a range of sculptural, environmental, land based and conceptual works. For Call and Response, artists are invited to propose works that communicate with the site and engage with the full force of the environment and landscape.

Works can take on various forms including sculpture, installation, ephemeral, performance and conceptual works.
